"Radical compassion goes beyond the traditional definition of compassion, which is: a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. Radical Compassion on the other hand lovingly allows for whatever experience we or others are having without having to rescue or fix the person or the situation. Radical Compassion is a powerful catalytic healing space that supports the divine flow of life to direct the situation to whatever needs to be even if we don’t understand it." designated by the origin
of the spring birth of Jesus
moved to December
to appease the pagan masses

originally the
December celebration of solstice
the returning of the sun
combined now with
St. Nicholas of 300 AD who
gave his entire fortune to
the poor and needy

traditions today vary in every
Christian country in how
it is celebrated

I am grateful for every family
that ever shared their wonderment,
gracious celebration, and joyful tradition
which they held dear
each as unique and delightful
as themselves

learning early to appreciate
such simple tokens of
family, love, and warmth
embracing in gratitude the moments you are
allowed to live as one included, like family
it is a feeling which runs deep in the heart

Christmas present….is not the pretty package
tied in ribbons and bows…for me…it is the clarity
of the now/present moment…felt as one whole

*Christmas past…is not the pretty package
of the modern celebration…learn and know we have
evolved out of an age of atrocity

Christmas future...is yet untold

Did not get into Christmas last year, but looking forward already for it to come 2008. Not for the gifts, but the friendship and caring that goes on at that time of year and the singing and worshipping and all.
