What is "Seven Days" about?
Seven Days is a character-driven horror story tapping into the psychological abnormalities of its protagonist, Jack, a seventeen-year-old narcoleptic who suffers from waking nightmares.
After his parents are murdered, Jack attempts to commit suicide and ends up in a juvenile mental hospital. Once there, he begins to suffer from further bouts of narcolepsy, hallucinating about dark birds and seeing the ghosts of patients who have gone missing under the ever-watchful eye of Dr. Macabee, the hospital's controlling and sadistic psychiatrist.
Most succinctly described as a supernatural Catcher in the Rye, Seven Days is pure literary horror for those who enjoy being scared inside and out.
