Scott has an interesting prayer and meditation time...

Almost immediately when I went into meditation I felt Gwendolyn’s sweet presence near me…before I could mentally say the words… “Are you here?” She said, Yes, of course I am here, I am always here with you. This is my assignment; I cannot not be here with you.

When I questioned the word “assignment” I began to feel that maybe God had kind of foisted Gwendolyn on me like a parent would tell his children… “Now you take care of your little sister and hold her hand…do not let her out of your sight…do you understand me?”

Gwendolyn assured me it was not that kind of assignment and that she had a part in the decision process as she had free will to take on the assignment of watching over me or not.

She then went on to say to me that she had been with me in many incarnations and was involved in my life for many lifetimes and that it was just time for her to move on. She apparently had decided to not incarnate again in human form and instead wanted to watch over someone she really loved and cared for. This is the information that she gave me.

At this point I felt compelled to go to my secret paradise that I frequent often. My method for accessing this paradise was to envision a magical stairwell taking me into a deeper consciousness and to see a doorway into this paradise. I open the door and immediately see it in my minds eye. There are huge leafy trees there that are awesome.

I love trees, especially big ones, and I see a couple of these huge trees spreading their branches and leaves around this paradise. I then see a pathway that has a fine dust that has amber to reddish tone to it. It is a fine dust yet on a hardpan like surface. So, it doesn’t feel mushy to me…just soft and at the same time under the surface of it quite firm.

I walk down the pathway and I see my little child, the little Scotty me, running towards me in full happiness to see me. He runs and he jumps up into my arms, we do a couple of swirls around and he hugs me with the most precious hug you could ask for. It is not a death hug now as before, but a firm hug showing much love and gratitude to see me again. I convey my feelings of love to Scotty too.

Eventually I let him down to the pathway ground and I take his hand and start walking down the path. He wants to run and starts and then asks if he can jump up on my back as a child would do to a parent and he asks me to run…faster he says…until we get to a clearing area where I often meet Gwendolyn there.

I see the clearing and Gwendolyn in the distance and we run…I am a little tired when I come up to Gwendolyn and I gently let Scotty off my back and I embrace her. She returns the embrace and we sit down. I have this desire to kiss her on the lips…which I do. This is not a sexual type of kiss to Gwendolyn but one of pure love and joy, as a child would kiss their mother or father on the lips.

I can’t remember fully if she started talking to me, or I started the conversation…but a thought arose in my mind of why humans have such a hard time really “getting” the spiritual realm and why we seem (me included) so dense in the areas of operation of Spirit and the spiritual realm.

She told me that each human life is a evolution of the soul. Some don’t seem to “get it” seemingly in their lifetimes. This was not that they were “bad” or “naughty”, but that they had simply forgotten who they were. They came with intentions of finding themselves and who they really are, but they forgot. They had gotten caught up in the fleshly experience of life and all that comes with it…and simply forgot their “higher selves”.

I asked Gwendolyn why this happened, and she said that with the drama of human life a lot of things are happening, and they just get caught up in the moment and forget. I then asked her another question about whether God wanted them to see more than what they were seeing and she said… “Of course, they want to see who they really are, but they don’t know how to access this higher realm where they can find out who they really are.

I said to her then that a lot of people I see don’t seem to have a clue as to this higher realm. Of course, looking back on this lifetime now, I also realized that until recently I did not have a clue either.

She said this is a great find when one finds who they really are. She said Jesus talked about it in one of his parables when he said that a man would find a hidden treasure in a parcel of land or a field and would then sell all he had in his possessions to buy the field, so as to get the treasure hidden in it. This is the experience one feels when they find out who they really are…and connect to their higher self…The God part of them.

At this point, I said to Gwendolyn, “How is one to remember this part of themselves then?” She told me there are many ways Spirit works with people in human form to remember who they really are. She said more often than not, that it is found in pain of some kind, both physical and emotional that will cause them to go deeper in their experience.

She said that many times we humans get complacent and satisfied with our humans lives and forget the connection to our higher self…to God as we call it. She said as strange as this might seem to you, it is the primary way that humans find this inward connection…through pain.

At this point I asked her if there were any other factors other than pain whereby humans could find this higher part of them and have a connection with God.
She said yes, but that pain and suffering were the main catalyst to bring us to it.

She told me another way that causes one to think about who they are is when they have children of their own. That there was something special that connects to their hearts when they have a child or children of their own. They begin to see the love that they have for that child and that there must be a greater love that they know as God somewhere. Many times this becomes a portal of knowledge for the divine to show them how much they are loved as children, or offspring of God.

I asked Gwendolyn, why there were so many humans who never seemed to “get” this higher part of them and seemingly waste their lives, sometimes never seeing the bigger picture of who they are. She gave me the mental picture of us all having a divine spark that came from an original flame…the flame being God, the Source of us.

We had taken on human form and many incarnations so that we could find this “treasure hidden in the field” and that when we found it, we would then realize that nothing on this earth really compares to this higher connection of Source-God. That when we really saw it and experienced it for ourselves that we would sell all we had to obtain the field. In other words, this earth as far as all that can be done humanly speaking was really nothing in comparison to this treasure of our higher selves, and when we found it there would be great joy.

She said that many would live many lifetimes before they found this treasure and that the treasure was always there, but they were just distracted by all the human drama of having to make a living, bearing and raising children, relationships acquired and the entire drama of day to day living that they soon would forget this higher purpose of finding the treasure within.

She said that when they transition from human form to Spirit form they would remember again and for this reason they would then plan their next journey to incarnate again so that they would find this treasure…eventually. Once they found this treasure they could then if they wanted to not have to incarnate again and go back to human form. This of course is always a choice though.

It seemed to me that once they find it in reality there is a good chance they don’t have to or they don’t desire to return again.

I asked Gwendolyn if there was any other ways Spirit was using to get our attention to this treasure within and she said yes. Other ways were nature and beauty. When we see something beautiful like a sunset, the mountains or ocean or something magnificent in nature our thoughts connect on a higher level and sometimes the real us, the higher self is revealed to us as if peeking through a veil. We see a glimpse of the magnificence of God.

Another way is in times of pleasure, joy and happiness. When we seem to be connected to our higher selves. She said we feel this happiness and instinctively know that there is something beyond us and greater than what we see.

She said another way was when we were in stillness or absolute solitude and quiet. She said that it was important for one to go into this stillness often so that they can reconnect to this higher part of ourselves. She said many are literally running from hither to yon, not knowing why and seem to be on this treadmill of life and can’t seem to get off. She said moments of stillness, quiet, a peaceful environment where there are no distractions can help you re-connect to this higher self.

This can be done often if one will set aside the time to do so. When we are so caught up in this life that we don’t have time for this exercise is when we wonder if life is really worth living and it seems that we lose our way and the internal compass of Spirit is inactive. This kind of solitude should be sought out and priority given to the inward rather than always attending to the outward or human, fleshly needs.

It is not that the outward is not important, or that normal human needs are unimportant, but more weight or priority needs to be given to that treasure inside ourselves. This is the key to life and once found it is literally life changing in every way.

She said that Spirit is constantly trying to get our attention and sometimes the only way to get our full attention is during times of pain and suffering. She reiterated that this is the primary way that Spirit gets our attention and shows us there is more than what we see in the here and now. There is a world to explore within. This is where our true connection comes from. The external will pass away as Jesus said, as “The grass of the field”.

Our main purpose is to reconnect to the spark or the inner self and that it is within all of us if we will just look for it.

That caused me to think about certain people in life that didn’t seem to show any spark or inkling of Spirit in them…in fact…some seemed to be evil and have no conscience of others or of anything. She told me that all have this inward spark but circumstances, experiences, conditioning of others had “caked” a bunch of dirt or mud around our hearts. Our hearts were our main connection to this higher self, or God, but it was so caked with dirt, and junk and circumstances whereby we blamed God or others for our condition allowed“hardness” around our hearts and nothing could possibly pierce this hardened heart.

But, even though this had happened, and it these experiences in their life that caused them pain and much heartache in life, God had never abandoned them…they had abandoned themselves. She said this is what is referred to losing your soul by Jesus. This losing of soul, was how we interacted with these hard experiences in life. That we had a choice to let the “Rock fall on us, or we fall on the rock”, as Jesus said in another parable to his disciples.

If we are rigid and unbendable, we will surely break and this causes the disconnection experienced in human life. This disconnection was only a perception from our human view as we are never really disconnected from the divine…only in our minds.

Spirit is constantly trying to get our attention with these experiences so that we will perceive from a higher level rather than just mere human conditioning and experience.

I asked Gwendolyn how we could see others on a higher level whereby we do not judge them for not seeing their connection. She told me we have to go beyond just seeing the bodily form of a person as some are more handsome or prettier than others. She said if we just see the outward form of a person we are not seeing as God. God ALWAYS, AND I REPEAT, ALWAYS SEES THE HEART…or the inner part of their spirit that is concealed in this human form. She said we must go deeper in our consciousness than just looking at the surface.

She said we get caught up in the outward form and forget they have this deeper part of them that is connected with God. She said some have a very calloused and hardened heart for what they perceive with protect them from extinction. So they wear it like a mask which hides their true identity with connection to God.

She told me in a meditative or quiet state try to visualize that persons face or form and instead of focusing in on that, just go to their hearts. She said you will feel something that seems like God to you…this is their higher connection with Source-God that has been hidden from your human perception. Once, you feel this connection deep within them you will never see them quite like you did before. You will bless their existence and send them a prayer that they will find this treasure hidden in a field.

This was the end of this teaching from Gwendolyn to me this morning.
