Friends? hhhmmmmmmm.... not so much.

Ok, you see it's like this. I never would write such an article but this has been eating at me. I have some advice for some of you women out there who think it's ok to try to pick up an ex of one your friends.

My number one advice; Don't do it. Any ex of a good friend of your is simply "off limits."

I know first hand how this feels and it's not pretty. I had a "good" friend, or at least I thought so at the time. She was there for me when I was going through the divorce with this guy and she played the role well.

She was supportive and encouraging. Then it came time for me to move to another state.  I had begun a relationship with someone who lived in the state I was moving to. Even though my divorce was not final ,we had been separated for almost a year and a half.

Now, it would stand to reason that I wouldn't care what my ex did or who he did it with.  Unfortuantely, that is not the case.  I have recently found out, several years later, that my "good friend" went to MY old home shortly after my move.

She went there saying all kinds of nasty things about me and then proceeded to put the moves on MY ex!  He swears to me that nothing happened and that it actually made him feel sick to his stomach at the mere thought of being with her.

This doesn't make me feel any better.  It makes me feel as if I cannot trust anyone.  If I never see my friend again it will be too soon.

Ladies, most ex's of your friends are off limits, even if your friends gives you the go ahead, she most likely does not really feel that way. So tread lightly ladies.

If you are in my shoes and a friend has hit on your ex and you don't like it then you have my sympathies. I am currently wondering why this bothers me so much. Maybe one day I will figure it out, on the other hand maybe I won't.

I know after a divorce, I've been through one and through the loss of second hubby by death. Both were stressful, heartbreaking times, but I am a survivor, still in grief, but reading things written like this by others comforts me and lets me know I am not alone in going through what I went through. Nicely written thing you did here. I enjoyed reading it.
