The Juice & BerriesTM History Adventures a children's book series that offers kid-size servings of black history lessons coupled with strong character values, names Barack Obama in their top A-Z list in the newly released educational cartoon video, "Teach Black History."
"We're excited to include the highly electable Democratic Nominee, Barack Obama as one of the historical icons we feature in our A-Z list of legends," said Tamicia Currie, author and adaptor of The Juice & Berries History Adventures.
Obama is named amongst other great legends such as Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., Alvin Ailey and George Washington Carver.
"The contribution blacks have made to our society are treasures that should continue to be discovered and acknowledged as valuable. Barack Obama has proven that what seems impossible can only stay impossible when you choose to exclude yourself from changing the impossibility," said Currie.
The Juice & BerriesTM Educational Video will begin airing nationwide on networks such as BET, Nick-TV and other family networks October 15, 2008.
"Our goal is to not only teach children about the achievements of blacks but to equally promote education before entertainment," said Currie.
The Juice & BerriesTM History Adventures will release a second title in the series, "To The Whitehouse!" in November 2008. To view the educational video, go to www.teachblackhistory.com and click VIDEO.
