Whether it’s a gruesome headless horseman in "Sleepy Hollow" or those forlorn spirits in "The Sixth Sense," ghosts have offered plenty of ectoplasm to frighten and entertain movie fans. Some succeed and some fail, of course. So far this year, we’ve seen such ghostly releases as "Shutter," "Over Her Dead Body," "Ghost Town" and "1408." Not all movies about ghosts are creepy – but, like many viewers, those are my favorites.
