I slapped myself in the forehead like one of those people who just realized he should have had a V8.

I heard several discussions (debates) about President Obama coming out and taking credit for the satisfactory conclusion of the pirate incident.  One, more conservative, participant was saying that the president should not get any credit for the rescue but only those American sharpshooters and military rescuers.  I found myself falling on the side of the latter argument.

Then one person, on the more liberal side of the argument, said something that changed my mind.  She said, “I think President Obama should get the credit, because if things had gone bad, people on the right would be blaming him.”  Wow!  What insight.

I slapped myself in the forehead like one of those people who just realized he should have had a V8 and declared, “Of course Obama must get all the credit for anything that goes right, just like he should receive none of the blame for anything that goes wrong.  What was I thinking?  After all, who did I think he is, George Bush?”

Of course Obama was in charge. How do I know that for sure? If the Navy Seals had been in charge like they should have we would have had four dead bastards. Like it was, there was a liberal in the woodpile-one of the pirates is still alive. I thought we didn't negotiate with terriosts!

Not only can Obama "do no wrong" but the French are going to ask him to walk across the English Channel on June six, "D Day", when the messiah goes onto the D Day landing beaches.

You are right in a way, Paul. However, that's not the way it works. You see Obama can do no wrong. Just ask the media. In particualar how about that CNN reporter who attacked the Tax protestor and his kid. How dare you people critize OUR government.
