I sit here with several journals, I have to admit I keep many journals, a prayer journal, a journal of quotes, a friendship journal and many others, they are snippets of my life, and snippets of the people in my life. I love Xanga, but there are some things that you can say so much better in the privacy of a journal, and journals help me to talk with the Lord in the way I do best, I believe he gave me the gift for words, and it is my duty to use that gift.

Journals also served as teaching tool when I was working with the Children at the church I attended. I would buy the Children Composition books and have them write about what Jesus has done for them, write about the lesson and even the littlest would take part by drawing pictures.

I believe the journals were only a minor tool in my teaching them about Jesus, but everything I used, was a gift, and often because our Church was so small I provided what was needed, and the church counted that as my tithes and offerings, because they felt what I was doing was important. There was a time I was actually getting paid for this, but even when I wasn't. Many of these children were like nieces and nephews to me, and all of them quickly developed a place in my heart and in my prayers.

The children I worked with ranged in the ages from infancy to teens and I pray that I had a role in helping them understand the importance of leaning on the Lord, but I know they taught me the gift of unconditional love, I received so many special little gifts from these kids in my life. I know that at least one of the children has fallen away, she is now in HS and rebelling, but I am believing that one day she will come back to the Lord.

By no means were the Children always angels and sometimes I questioned whether I was the right to Vessel to be reaching to these children but more oftent han not I was reminded of just how blessed I was to have this calling.

The Children were often curious about my braces or the cane I used from time to time and I would let them ask questions and remind us that God created us all, and our differences made us special.

Mikey of course has been part of my life all of his life, he is my nephew and my little buddy, but there were some trying times when we were in Church, but for the most part he loved Church, Fran had brought Mikey and Ethan to church from the time they were under a week old, and when Fran couldnt I often would.

I am so glad that most of these children are still in my life, Shelly Bee, is up for a visit this Summer at her Aunt Frans, so I am looking forward to spending time with her and the boys, and of course I continue to pray for her. She is starting highschool in the fall and I know that transition is difficult but Shelly Bee has always been a smart kid.
Thank you Kids for the time you gave me at Living Waters Assembly of God
