Feeling better and stronger
When this year began I weighed 275 lbs.and I decided to do something about it so in early April I started to walk again and since I did I lost 20 lbs.and walked 100 miles. It hasn't been easy because I am not in the shape I was when I was 30 or even 40 years old.I will be 53 years old on July 6th and by the fall I want to drop another 20 lbs.and get back down to 235 lbs.I still have my work cut out for me I have to watch what I eat,I love ice cream in the summer and last year I could easily eat a half gallon every other night more so when it went on sale. These days I have a half pint or lemon ice and hardly drink soda,if I drink soda it's mostly club soda I lost my taste for regular soda and even diet soda.I should drink more water but most of the time I have a sugar free fruit drink with only a few calories.I am trying to eat healthier and less fast foods but this all takes time and years later I knew it was my own doings because I didn't think I would slip this far away from when I was younger. But by the grace of God I can do things again after a long layoff and hope not to repeat them all over again and more important not to stop when I am making progress and think I can go back anytime.Today I want to do more walking and exercising when I get home and I still have my work cut out for me.I keep focusing on being 235 lbs.again
