Each person struggles with who they are versus who they dream and truly want to be.
There comes a time when a person has to actualize the dream they have for themselves. It becomes almost unbearable to continue living in a reality that contradicts or is in opposition to what it is a person really wants from life and from themselves. However, it is hard to break away from the dream or rather make the dream a reality; the dream remains only a fantasy.
Who can really say that they can bring into existence the true person inside of them? So very often we are forced to adapt to a world that is forever changing. We have to adjust our attitude to the attitudes of others. How can a person take away and leave the passivity of the mental plane to bring the desired into the actual world they live in? Could we speak things into existence? If so, are some things better left unsaid? The mind is a place where the person we want to be is ruler and suppressed.
It seems impossible to be that person in everyday life. We desperately want to show our true selves, our true feelings and thoughts, ambitions to others but the voice that is our essence is constantly stifled because we can’t be ourselves. There is too much against us. Each day we face a set of circumstances; setbacks or opportunities. There are different people that we encounter that present us with a choice; a decision that is often made spontaneously to be kind or disagreeable, generous or selfish, understanding or intolerant.
Early on in life we develop a personality. This is our visage; our mask of tragedy or comedy and coat of armor put together piece by piece to deal with the challenges of the world. Our personality determines how we are perceived and how we carry ourselves.
