Of course, you do.  You, as a homeowner or homerenter relish the convenience of having a home to return to, and to bask in, at the end of a hard days work.

Until the real thing is upon us, our homes are our heavens ...or at least where, we can really experience quiet moments of it .....when things around the house settle down.  This is home.  This is "your" home.

So, you hire on someone [a contractor or a contractual firm] to help facilitate your life-style enjoyments and consolations of  home ..... but, you find that, the people you hired to maintain or to remodel aspects of this solitary place, desecrate it.

Easy to conclude, it 's all "their" fault.  But, is it really?

You're the one who hired them on without checking them out, and without an effective written contract.  Since you set no standards, binding in court, they have none with which or by which to comply.  So .... they do something or nothing in your home/on your property  to promote your home serenity, yet, demand payment under threat of a Mechanic's Lien.

You have nothing to prove they are "not right," hence, the courts assume you are wrong ..... You are foreclosed.  End of story.
