For all the people around the world, who may not be familiar with the word 'moonwalking' I will describe it for you.
moonwalking; (definition); to dance by gliding backwards while appearing to make foward motions;
Three of the things all of need to maintain our health is exercise; good diet and SLEEP...and I think many of us take sleep for granted, and we don't think of the importance of sleep and how much the lack of it can affect us in our everyday lives.
I've had sleep problems for about four years, and it has been the worst time in my life. For me, I think the sleep problems have come from all the stress and depression over a decade because of job layoffs which are SIX in all, and have just about ruined my life, etc.
If you've ever had sleep problems...you will certainly be 'moonwalking' around the bedroom in the middle of the night, trying to figure out how you can get some sleep...OR go back to sleep. In 2011, my life is better...as I retired and I don't have to go looking for work anymore...that's a relief! Things in general, have gotten better in my life...as threre was a time I was homeless, and standing in a soup line; filing for bankruptcy; the loss of six jobs in a decade put tremendous pressure in my life, and so forth.
During all this havoc in my life at the time, I never reached the point of having to take shots to find sleep...or taking the type of drugs that Michael Jackson took. But, I can tell anyone out there, that you're going to have a lot of problems if you ever have sleep problems, etc. It's simple...if you don't get a good nights sleep...you're going to have a rotten day when you get up...and if this continues...you will have some serious problems with having accidents; forgetting things; walking into walls; not thinking straight; being untimly; late to work; kicking the dog; the little accidents pile up; everybody hates you; you're grouchy; short-tempered; the boss is upset with you and you don't know why; you can't remember your name and where you live; you're irritable; people are afraid to approach you and hate you and you don't know why and the list goes on and on! Having sleepless nights will eventually get you...
Thankfully, I never got to the point where Michael Jackson was...taking shots and powerful drugs, etc. In everything we do...attitude is everything!
attitude; (description); a feeling or emotion of fact or state;
I was not a fan of Michael Jackson; I have never bought a record; no concert tickets. I liked and listened to Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five in my younger days. I like a few of his songs; ABC; Billy Jean; Off the Wall, etc.
Not knowing the circumstances of what happened at his death, I think Michael Jackson's problems might have started before he had sleep problems, etc. All his problems could have started when he signed a contract that he should have not signed...because in the highly competivive business of music...he may have not been able to deliver on the contract he signed. By doing this, led to creative differences; bad feelings; business problems and sleepless nights, etc.
The hardest word in the dictionary to say is 'NO' There are many people on this earth that can't say NO...my wife was one of them! During his life, Michael Jackson had clout and leverage...because he was famous since he was a kid...maybe he didn't know how to use the words, etc. As I said in this piece, Buddy Holly did know how to use clout and leverage to his advantage, etc. Attitude is everything!
I'll give the reader another example in sports. Jimmy Johnson, the former coach of the Dallas Cowboys, has had a marvelous career in football as a coach. He coached Miami University to a National Championship, and coached the Dallas Cowboys to two Super Bowls, After he won the Super Bowls, he got into a fight with Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, and quit the team and moved on to the Miami Dolphins. Dan Marino was the quarterback at the time, and a grampa at 38 years old and past time to retire from football.
I saw the game on Thanksgiving Day, whereby Miami and Jimmy Johnson and Dan Marino got crushed. Dan Marino kept throwing interceptions all day, and Jimmy Johnson was furious on the sidlines! Why didn't Jimmy Johnson pull Dan Marino in favor of a younger quarterback? Everyone was probably asking that question that awful day fro Miami. Because Jimmy Johnson probably signed a contract with the owner of Miami that he shouldn't have signed. I've never seen a pro football contract before, but is probably read something like this. "Dan Marino will be the starting quarterback as long as he is healthy and able."
If this is true , Jimmy Johnson was watching the destruction of his team by the Dallas Cowboys and he couldn't do anything about it. They showed Jimmy Johnson countless times on the sidelines and he was beside himself. If true , this is an attitude problem for Jimmy Johnson, because he should have never signed a contract giving the quarterback more power than he had. Jimmy Johnson hand-cuffed himself because he let the owner give Dan Marino more authority than Johnson.
Both Marino and Johnson retired at the end, and Jimmy Johnson still does the NFL Pre-Game, but he has been out of coaching for about ten years. Any owner would welcome Jimmy Johnson back with open arms...but I don't think Jimmy Johnson wants to come back to coaching as long as the playing field favors the players, etc. Attitude is everything!
And, that's what I think happened to Michael Jackson. He might have signed a contract he shouldn't have signed. He couldn't deliver...which led to many sleepless nights, etc. This can only be a guess on my part, but there are many people who want to be rich and famous...and the thought of all that money, can make a person do stupid things!
In another short story, I had a friend who got out of the military about a year before. I was determined to go back to college and get his degree...mostly to please his father, who was a general in the Army. If he wasn't in class...he was studying...if he was studying...he was in class. He was obscessed (attitude) with getting his degree...no matter what. During this time, he married and had a child. He continued pushing himself through school. What's wrong with that, you may ask? He went to school the year around, including summer school, and he got his degree in three years. There was only one problem...his wife left him, and took the kid with her, and I don't think his father really gave a damn what he was doing. He came home to an empty house.
In the Buddy Holly Story, Buddy Holly and the Criketts went to New York, and to produce a song at Big Time producing company. Several people were chatting in the office, including Buddy Holly and his band and the producer. About that time, there was a knock on the door, and a few people came in the office, carrying violins and cellos. The Big Time producer saw this and said, "What's this? We can't have any violins and cellos in a rock and roll song!" Whereupon, Buddy Holly said, "I write the songs and I arrange them...come on, boys...lets go across the street and see what Producer B has to say." The group stormed out of the office!
This is something that could have happened to Michael Jackson...not have the courage to stand up to people and become a punching bag (pushover) to others, etc. Michael Jackson was probably taken advantaged of...my wife was like that...and it's a psychological disorder, etc. My wife was a doormat to everyone! Attitude is everything...
Buddy Holly used his clout and leverage (attitude) to produce his songs HIS way...or there would be no songs, etc.
When I started writing at the end of 2006, I had to decide (attitude) if I wanted to be the greatest writer in the world; fame and fortune in writing; or just be on ordinary run-of-the mill dufas! Guess what? I chose to be an ordinary dufas! (just kidding) I had to decide if I wanted to get into the paying markets in writing or get and stay in the free content markets in writing. I chose the free content markets. The paying markets would too much pressure on me, after all, I am a beginner in writing, and I didn't need that kind of pressure. And, besides the publishers would want me to write the way THEY want me to write, and I didn't want to do that. (attitude)
I wanted to do creative writing; take chances with my work; and write with my own voice and approach, etc. You don't want much, do you? As of October 19, 2011, over 100 of my articles have been published on more than 500 websites on the Internet. Add to that, my articles are scattered all over Authors Den...the Featured Page; the Top Ten in various categories and the AD Top 50. About 20-25 if my articles have been on the Featured page each week, and my high is 59 articles and my low is 13 articles that are featured.

I feel good about what I am doing, and about the exposure that comes with it, and I have no changes in the near future. It all starts with attitude and my confidence is sky-high right now...
