I am reminded that when we least expect it God wants to use us. We sometimes pray and ask God to use us,then the opportunity arrives and we are used, we realize our forgotten prayer had been answered. My husband and i drive an eighteen wheeler in all fortyeight states, we had come back to Texas where we are based out of, and were dispatched to pick up our next load in Dallas, When we arrived we were told this load should not have been dispatched.we were to wait for our dispatcher to find us another load. we then went to a convienant store to buy advil for my headache. as we waited in the truck.,i noticed a middle age black man sitting on the side of the building on top of a trash can turned on the side. He had a forty ounce bottle of beer to drink while he sat there. I wondered how can a person get down so low in life that all he had to do was to sit on the side of this building for hours and drink. That was when it started. The holyspirit revealed to me that he had a praying grandmother who believed that someday god was going to deliver him from the life he was living, and this was the day. The lord did not stop there he told me to go talk to him. i said lord what would i say, i do not know this man. He reminded me of the scripture that says Do not worry what you are to speak, for in that moment 'I the holyspirit will give you utterance,i will speak thru you. so, i said o.k. lord. i went over and said hi, he invited me to sit with him, now there are two of us sitting on this trashcan on the side of the building I asked him if he had a praying grandmother, he looked puzzled and said yes, how did you know? I told him the lord revealed this too me, He listened while i had revelation that he was homeless and drug addicted to heroin and alcohol. I told him he used to walk with the lord, but, had strayed away, but, now was the time for him to return to the lord. his grandmothers prayers were going to be answered today. He said someday he was going to get out of this area and live a better life, the holysprit quickly revealed to me God wanted to use him right where he was. Only someone who has been homeless can understand what it is like to be homeless, only someone who is drugaddicted can understand addiction, He was to minister to those people right where he was. I then heard a person raising cain, i looked and saw a girl cussing coming around the corner.The man i was talking to said that was someone i should pray for, he said her name was chrissy. I called her over and talked to her. The lord revealed to me ,She was homeless and drug addicted.he told me to give her the new things i had bought, he wanted her to have the very best, because he wanted to show her his love.We talked and found out she was from the bronx,ny city. she had moved to dallas with a boyfriend, he had been murdered and she turned to drugs and alcohol to not deal with the pain. I asked to pray for them, We prayed knowing God was doing something powerful and special in their lives that day.So, next time you pray to be used it will happen when you least expect it.
