I will be 'out of the Den' for a week or more, because of having some serious eye surgey on both eyes. The surgery is only supposed to take three to four hours, but the recuperation period will be quite a bit longer. I didn't need a setback at this time, with new authors' books ready to go into print, but we can't always gauge what lies ahead, can we? And who knows how many hours, days, weeks....maybe even months of time it will grant me in 'catch-up' that I have not been able to do working 'half-blind.'
My loony bi-polar sense of humor seems to be a saving grace, as I keep thinking in 'joke format,' all the time. Tonight's poem is an example. And this morning, when a friend asked me why it was going to take three to four hours to do the surgery, I said: "They have to remove my make-up first."
I will try to get to all of you and your wonderful poems with comments, but, for now, I have all I can do to get my 'house in order' before next week. The very best to all of you...readers and writers....and thanks again for your wonderful support!
