Granted, I know there was a time for love,
I took it.
Made the worst of it,
Took the best you offered.
Some say that you never know what you have until.
Well they were right,
I’m lost.
People are very funny creatures.
I know that I am.
I’m that glass butterfly,
Stationary in flight.
Felt more like the frog, than the prince.
Waiting forever for just that right,
Soft sweet kiss,
To awaken to my most beautiful princess.
Words were written, spoken a thousand times,
Over and again, that,
All good things come to those who wait.
I ask, wonder, wish, hope and pray,
Shall I, the sad four-legged amphibian,
Ever see that day,
When the regal maiden,
Comes my way.
Granted, this time, I shall not take it for.
Instead, I intend,
To leave more than is taken.
