Modern mans concept of God hasn't changed much. Even though we don't worship fire God's or water God's the idea of a supreme being is exercised by quite a few. Why shouldn't there be a God or creator? We all know that nothing creates itself. Everything in this world was created by intelligent design, even the computer I'm using.
Closing the mind down to the possibilities of creative design is like cutting off the head. So the rest of the body doesn't need the head. We all know the body needs the head to function. Some people believe in evolution and things like scientology. How can one be so narrow minded to believe life just evolved or popped up with all the necessary ingredients to survive?
The basic needs for life to survive is food, water and air. Air is very abundant, all we have to do is breath. Water takes a little more effort to get. Food even takes a harder effort to obtain. If either one of these elements were missing we couldn't survive. Not only this, if the climate was just a few degrees off life would perish.
Back when man didn't have the intelligence to design and build an automobile for transportation, the horse was running wild and plentiful. All one had to do was catch one and tame him. A strong four legged animal that could carry the weight of a human being just all of a sudden being there for the catching is a little to incidental for me,
so are a lot of other wonders in this world.
Man invented the computer in the last hundred years. The computer is only an extension of our own brains, a form of artificial intelligence. Man has started to put legs and arms on the computer. A man in Japan invented a robot that can walk and climb steps. Check the market out, almost everywhere you look there are robotic toys and other forms of artificial intelligence imitating the real items.
Then along comes biological engineering and cloning. Man himself is getting into the creative process of creating life. All this has occured in the last fifty years.
Is it so odd to think that someone beat us to the punch? We could be clones ourselves created by a superior being. Another thing, when we create robots and clones, what do you think they will call us, God or supreme being?
Having faith in God keeps my mind and hopes open to the possibilities that there is more to this cruel evil world than meets the eye. I'm not going to be guilty of closing my mind down to the creative process. Closing the mind down to me means believing in nothing. I love to believe in something, God is as good of something as anything else. He created evolution and science, He's one of the greatest scientist in this universe.
