A walk on the Beach

This is that wonderful time of year when you can shake the winter blues, step into the sun and surf and sing with the gulls. The beach today was just about perfect: the heavy surf, the breeze warmed by the sun, the raucus squall of the laughing gulls. I wish you could have been there. I interrupted my walk to write this haiku for you:
wave upon thundering wave
leaps the jetty
shrinks the beach
