Been Thinking...
7/8/2005 12:18:56 PM    [ Flag as Inappropriate ]

I've been thinking a lot lately about things and the way that shit is flowing downhill in every direction. there are those who tip over the vat-o-shit and allow it to flow downhill as they laugh. there are others who surf on a big ol' wave of this stuff and others who stand there staring at it with their mouth wide open before the are overtaken and buried by mounds of the stuff... there have been a lot of wars lately - holy wars, hunger wars, oil wars, war against AIDS...there seems to be constant conflict and drama absolutely everywhere. has it always been this way but now i am waking up? I hear that the G8 thingy has determined that about $50 billion should go to Africa in AID. That's nice....but will it ever get there? Or, is this a way of appropriating funds to plunder through when our backs are turned?

I just finished the last level of a video game called "Hitman 2" i know, it's kind of a twisted and violent game but if I can blast through scores of computer generated thugs and theives and not harm one single living being, then, so be it....anyway, at the end of the game, a priest gives #47 a crucifix and tells him that it will protect him and that he should live right!!

#47 takes the gift, exits the church and leaves the cross hanging on the fence before he holsters his sidearms and walks off into a surreal sunlight saying, "Trust no one!"

He just spent days fighting to rescue this priest travelling to Italy, Russia, Japan and India blasting away the "insurgeants" only to imply that he does not really trust the man that he has just rescued...I was puzzled, but it was kind of cool anyway...

He was willing to give it all for a person that he had no intention of trusting or listening to - perhaps it was a matter of honor. perhaps he was responding to being "called out". perhaps, deep down inside, he knew that the man that he was saving will save so many more in his career as a priest and therefore, the world was a better place because of him...I don't know..

My point....well, i never said that i actually had a point but if you can find some kind of point in this're welcome.
