Summertime Blues
8/7/2003 6:53:54 AM
Originally from Ireland, I now live in London, where the temperature today is around 37 degrees celsisus.

I'm wilting, things are just too much effort to do in the heat. My hands are so sweaty they keep slipping off the keyboard and as for sleep, what's that?

I can't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep (or even a bad one come to that.)

We need a good thunderstorm and some rain to clear the air. Lots and lots of rain.

Maybe it's becuase I come from a country where rain was the norm, but rain doesn't bother me. I can quite happily walk about in the rain, even if I've forgotten my umbrella, but heat is not for me.

Pale skin, freckles and skin that only burns, never tans, mean that I am not interested in sunbathing, I'm more interested in finding the nearest bit of shade. I think we should all start a new craze called "shade bathing", do you think it would catch on? :-)

Maybe it'll rain soon and I can get some sleep!

Annette.
