Temple of the Holy Ghost 11/16/2009 7:22:07 AM God is living inside of you. Ye are the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Father and the Son make a home in your heart. Usually, when we think on these things, we immediately remember how unholy and unrighteous we've been. We think about how we shouldn't abuse our bodies with riotous living, bad habits, or other means of wear and tear on our physical body. Nothing wrong with getting right in that area. In fact, we come to know that the battle that rages in our flesh is a constant battle and it must be fought daily. But we hardly ever consider the deeper ramifications of the concept that God Almighty lives in us. The possibilities are endless. There is no excuse for falling short of our potential in Christ. The hope of Glory is "Christ in us." If He's there, then all things are possible. The things He did and even greater, according to Him. There is never anything in this life you will need that can't be supplied by the well that supplies the river of living water flowing out of your innermost being. Do you need love? God is love. It's in there. Do you need joy? He will supply you with joy unspeakable! Do you need peace? The peace that passes all understanding dwells right there inside of you. It's all in the well. All things are yours. Do not fear what the enemy can do because your God provides!!! Because He lives in you, there is no enemy of your soul that can stop the process of you becoming like Christ if you allow the river to flow through you. You know why people flocked to the temple in Jerusalem? Not because it was spotless, though I imagine the priests and Levites kept it that way. But because that was where they could find help in time of need. That was where all their prayers, hopes, and dreams could find fulfillment. Now you are the temple of God. Spend a little time with Him today.
