Trying to Find Reason

I am. I'm trying to find any reason to return to writing. I look at the kind words readers have returned to me regarding a particular piece that's touched them in some way, and I feel that I'm being cruel by not producing poetry, or stories, or words of some sort. Then, I consider what I do every day as a teacher that takes up so many of my hours, and ask myself how I can be effective at both. Any ideas, guys?
Street steamed after rain, I watched the old man
Saw as he stared at the sun once again
I'd asked myself before
Should I even care?
If he ends up blind
Who might shed a tear?
With my hand to my door
I turned away, washed myself free from blame
Knew that tomorrow, the day'd be the same.
