Use of an ecclectic style 9/9/2007 12:23:11 PM In my first novel, "OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM," I used an ecclectic style, combining, first person stream-of-consciousness narration, poetry, and streight dialouge with the usual 3rd person narrative. I picked up the use of streight dialouge (without he saids, etc.) from Kanter and the use of stream-of-conscousness from Falkner. I don't remember where I saw poetry woven into nattation but I know I saw it somewhere. To me it the combining of the elements seems to make for a more exciting and enjoyable read. What do you think?
