Writing truth in fiction.
Susan Wingate Bio
Novelist, poet and playwright, Susan received a BS in Accounting from ASU. Wingate brings a rare and diverse background to her creative writing. Presently, she lives in Washington State and writes full time. Wingate has written three novels. Her 2nd book, BOBBY’S DINER, will be released by eBooksonth.net this fall of 2008. Her first novel, OF THE LAW, is available through Amazon.com and at bookstores. She's a contributing writer for several magazines. She also spends time teaching at writing workshops and at her studio. Her poems and short stories consistently receive awards and can be found in many magazines, journals and reviews. Currently, she organizes a series of reading events for her local library. These events spotlight the community's writers and provide a venue where others can hear their work. For hobbies, Wingate likes to read and paint.

2nd Book, "BOBBY'S DINER," Gets Book Contract

What has happened of late? I mean...

Well, first of all, my 2nd book, BOBBY'S DINER, signed with eBooksonthe.net this past July 2008. The book will be available this fall 2008. I'll make sure to post the details here when I know more. Until then, there's ALWAYS more to come...

Secondly, The Writer's Journal has selected another article of mine for publishing in an upcoming issue. The title is, HOW TO WIN CONTESTS & BECOME A PUBLISHED WRITER. If you're a writer or someone working in the writing industry, you really must check out The Writer's Journal. These magazines are stock full of writing and marketing tips, as well as great ideas for writing conferences and seminars. So, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for my article.

Third! My short story, "The Lion of Judah" received 1st place honors, a monetary award and publication in the August 2008 Fantasy Gazetteer Short Story Contest. Please check it out and tell me what you think. Leave a comment. I'd love to hear from you.
