Are your firends really your supporters?
10/14/2010 3:44:53 PM
It is something I've always believed in until recently. Humans are very complex creatures. They seem to have their own agenda on many issues. I've come to realize a simple fact - everyone is out for themselves.

This became painfully obvious when I asked for support in a project I was setting up. Posting it on my facebook page yield no results whatsoever, leading me to believe that society has become very selfish with no interest in helping other people. Is this what society has really become? Are we all forced to beg for support from our so-called friends?

It seems I'm not the only one experiencing this isolation. A close musician friend of mine has been let down by many of his so-called friend who only wish to retain friendship with him to ask him for favours. Yet, when it comes to him asking them for support, he is oftentimes given the cold-shoulder.

So, I'm hoping that by writing this blog I'm not going to be ignored. After all, if you can't rely on your friends and family for support, who can you rely on??
