In a near future slouching towards apocalypse, archeo-theologian Maggie gravitates to Jerusalem, seeking to unearth the secrets of the Temple Mound.
Meanwhile - in the 16th century - Barbary corsairs press a young gypsy into slavery. Pacing her 21st century dæmon across time, the gypsy first becomes the confidant of a famous seer, then embarks for Ægypt in pursuit of a lost love and the mysteries of Qabbalah.
Maggie struggling to escape the clutches of the Khalifate, her life and times come more and more to resemble those of her predecessor. From Magdalene sites in the south of France to the Golan Heights, living histories slam into her consciousness against which the Da Vinci Code is lightweight by comparison.
The first two volumes of The 3rd Order series are complete and being shopped for publication.
