Ahmad of Iran, a response.
2/5/2008 5:42:27 PM
Mahmood Ahmadi-Nejad's letter to President Bush is an interesting look at one sided POV. It does not even make internal sense, except to the writer and it contains a dire warning.
Mahmood Ahmadi-Nejad's

it is occupied, around
one hundred thousand people killed, its water sources, agriculture and industry destroyed,
close to 180,000 foreign troops put on the ground, sanctity of private homes of citizens
broken, and the country pushed back perhaps fifty years

Just mad because his country did not do it in the Iran/Iraq war.

On the pretext of the existence of WMDs,
They had bioweapons, they did not kill all those Kurds with spit.

There are prisoners in Guantanamo Bay that have not been tried, have no legal representation,
their families cannot see them and are obviously kept in a strange land outside their own
country.
And of course there are no political prisoners in Iran.

Throughout history many countries have been occupied, but I think the establishment of a
new country with a new people, is a new phenomenon that is exclusive to our times.
Not very well versed in human history is he? Oh, and what about this entity called the Middle East that snatches Egypt out of Africa so Euro-centric peoples can feel comfortable being that close to Black folk who have historically to today occuping Egypt, why did they wipe out Nassar?

This tragedy is not exclusive to the time of establishment; unfortunately it has been ongoing for sixty years now.
Ahmadi-Nejad kinda overlooks the Hebrew's 4K plus of living in that area, afterall Jews are named for Judea.

If the current Palestinian government had run on the above platform, would the Palestinian
people have voted for it?
He is quick to talk about voting outside of his own country.

Is not scientific R&D one of the basic rights of nations.
We want the right to blow anyone to kindom come, now we are in space, yes we can reach America, oh, don/t forget Fuel-Air explosions are as powerful as small atomic bombs, and bioweapons on missles, oh they can do so much damage now. These aer a people that want to kill at the slightest provacation. Something about honor? Is that like Oriental face?
Should you kill people for either?

Can the possibility of scientific achievements
being utilised for military purposes be reason enough to oppose science and technology
altogether?
Ask a stupid question???

Poverty and hardship in large parts of Africa are preventing this from
happening
On this point, Europeans went, raped, pillaged, and decimated, and left a mess. For no systems for good government was left. Playing one group against another and then leaving and take the constraints out, now all that is left are wars.

Again, do such actions correspond to the teachings of Christ and the tenets of human rights?
Neither Iran nor any of us are following God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, Isaiah 58, is this the fast I have asked of you.

Western media only intensified the climates of fear and insecurity
Every group picks a bad guy, Germans picked the Jews. It does nor make it right but it is human nature.

Will the truth not be lost in a contrive and deceptive climate?
He misses a major point about America, there were and are many voices who loudly and openly spoke out against this, wouldn't happen in Iran.

With these conditions in mind, can the gargantuan expenses of the campaign
He has and does not have a point, look at the money spent on the SuperBowl, campaign expenses, the list is long, there is bukoo money in America that is helping only a few.

Q&A

Did we manage to bring peace, security and prosperity for the people or insecurity and
unemployment?
Both, business as usual, and what would Iran have done, and is doing to it's people.

Did we intend to establish justice, or just supported especial interest groups, and by forcing many people to live in poverty and hardship, made a few people rich and powerful – thus trading the approval of the people and the Almighty with theirs’?
Has any country ever done any different? As bad as it is we still have something of a viable, educated, and vocal middle class, and what would Iran have done, and is doing to it's people.

Did we defend the rights of the underprivileged or ignore them?
Some does speak up for the "little people", more successful if your FDR, less so if your GRZ, it all depends.

Did we defend the rights of all people around the world or imposed wars on them, interfered illegally in their affairs, established hellish prisons and incarcerated some of them?
At least it is our premise to bring democracy to all. He has a limited view of what is the world, we are not at war with China, India, Russia, Europe, Australia, etc.

Did we bring the world peace and security or raised the specter of intimidation and threats?
No Iran, North Korea, you know the axis of evil, did that.

Did we tell the truth to our nation and others around the world or presented an inverted
version of it?
No government tells it all to the "little people", but more gets out here than in Iran.

Were we on the side of people or the occupiers and oppressors?
What you talking about Willis?

Did our administration set out to promote rational behaviour, logic, ethics, peace, fulfilling obligations, justice, service to the people, prosperity, progress and respect for human dignity or the force of guns.
Well it set out that way but got sidetracked, ole Bushy meant well he just had too much bad advice, his VEEP, SecDef, and others.

And finally, they will judge us on whether we remained true to our oath of office – to serve the people, which is our main task, and the traditions of the prophets – or not?

Too bad Ahmadi-Nejad does not have such as oath.

How much longer can the world tolerate this situation? Until Jan 2009.
Do you think present policies can continue? No, they begin to change in Jan 2009.

If billions of dollars spent on security, military campaigns and troop movement were instead spent on investment and assistance for poor countries, promotion of health, combating different diseases, education and improvement of mental and physical fitness, assistance to the victims of natural disasters, creation of employment opportunities and production, development projects and poverty alleviation, establishment of peace, mediation between disputing states and distinguishing the flames of racial, ethnic and other conflicts were would the world be today?
Uh, Duh, does he think he is the only one in the U.S. (which he ain't) asking that?

If prophet Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ishmael, Joseph or Jesus Christ (PBUH) were with us
today, how would they have judged such behaviour?
All the way to Joseph it would be judged in human terms based on the views of their times and there is a major difference, huge, between Abram and Joseph. For Jesus's POV read the X.

According to divine verses, we have all been called upon to worship one God and follow the
teachings of divine prophets.
Okay, the one God, fine. Prophets, well who. Many Hebraic prophets like Obadiah are focused only on Israel. And any 'prophet' that says I got to live in the 7th century is whacked. I love English, Arabic is not my style why do I have to speak it. In short those, for me are serious short comings in Islam.

We again read in the Holy Book: He never read John 6:60-69.

a genuine return to the teachings of prophets
Christians follow (or are supposed to) the whole bible and the Word of God (Allah or whatever name.)

History tells us that repressive and cruel governments do not survive.
Russia had a 70 year run.

Can one deny the signs of change in the world today?
And then there is December 12, 2012.

The people are protesting the increasing gap between the haves and the have-nots
Or they play the Lotto and wish.

Liberalism and Western style democracy have not been able to help realize the ideals of
humanity.
One point on which we can agree, but, I do not really see any thing better, how many millionaires in Iran? Anybody there won a lotto lately?
------------------------------------------
"Vasalam Ala Man Ataba'al hoda." What this means is "Peace only unto those who follow the true path."
It is a phrase with historical significance in Islam, the letters were a prelude to a Muslim offensive, a war launched for the purpose of imposing Islamic rule over infidels.
