My Animal Poem - Pulitizer material

In my last blog I mentioned I need to write a poem giving human characteristics to an animal. Being prolific with pen and keyboard, it was mere minutes from my life to produce what may be my finest work. With all humility I share this with you now:
Night of the Iguana
Iguana, iguana
it's you that I wanna
make my friend.
Human, oh human
your bald head is looming
just around the bend.
Human, I've seen your type before
you wanna sell me at the store
and make money galore.
Human, I have common sense
so don't think I'm dense
find another way to make your rents.
Human, I think, feel and act
and Jack that's a fact
so try another tact (ic).
Human, I have plans of my own
a little cutie named Joan
and no I don't loan.
Human, I see your tricks
so time to hit the bricks
to you I say nix.
(I'm emotionally exhausted my friends for sometimes these pieces I write touch me deeply. Tears are starting to fall so I must leave now.)
