What I'm thankful for:

A good night's rest.
Comfortable pajamas!  Clean sheets!  Clean clothes!
Waking up.
Breath.  A i r.
Not in too much pain this morning.

The sun!
Bright blue skies!
Brr.  A bit nippy.  A heater that works!
The fall colors outside my window.

Sight.
Hearing.
Taste.
Smell.
Touch.

M o v e m e n t!
The ability to talk/think/write!

My Creator, God.  My Savior, Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit.

My twin sister.
My other sisters and brother.
Memories of loved ones who are no longer here to celebrate holidays with me.

Freedom.
Our soldiers.  Sailors.  Airmen.  Marines.  And their families, who serve alongside.
Our Veterans.

A roof, overhead.
Electricity!  Water!
Food in the 'fridge and pantry.
The cereal I ate this morning.
The dinner I'm looking forward to tonight.

Friends.
Their families who include me in theirs.
L a u g h t e r.

The purr of a cat.
A puppy's kiss.
Birdsong.
Even this dang fly who is bugging me.  (Shoo, fly, don't bother me!)

To express how grateful I am.
