Dream Scene (ee) ... Moon Trance 12/9/2007 8:19:05 PM I stood on a canopy staring at the moon. It appeared quite large for the daytime sky. Zooming into its craters, red hues oozed from its craters’ dusty membranes. A series of enormous explosions was excavating the moon’s surface. Massive chunks of lunar fragments cascaded toward earth. Everyone was amazed at the intensity of angry sounds projecting from the moon. I knew soon debris would rain down onto us all. People were scampering, trying to dodge the impending fallout of hissing lunar missiles. Like a stand-in in a surreal movie, I realized I was dreaming.
Large firestorms loomed over the horizon. The earth began to crack and split, knocking large buildings onto their sides. People were covered with bricks, steel, glass, dust
and of course, blood.
From the awning, I observed pandemonium below and noticed the ground opening up. A deep chasm headed in my direction, rapidly intensifying in width and depth. As it ominously approached, I jumped off the canopy onto the bed of broken glass. Amazingly it cushioned me! No blood. No fear. I just stood up, brushing off the residue of sparkling dust and reddened ash.
I began to examine the depths of this earthly rift. Long rows of winding staircases lead down into the void. I thought to myself, if I am going to go down into there, I’m going to have to change my image as not to rouse suspicion of those small, weird looking creatures standing by this huge cave’s entrance. Graffiti or what appeared to be cave drawings ornamented the walls of the entrance. These skeletal creatures, half-man/half-alien, were dancing to the flames rising from the abyss. I needed to be very cautious, even invisible, as I wandered into the turbulence surrounding me.
I began to climb down into the expanding pit. There were transparent partitions separating long rows of droning embryos, beginning to glow and undulate. I descended down a long pearly white pole, trying to avoid detection and get deeper inside. As I slid further downward, I could hear spurts of music. Varied spectrums of ribbons, like the ones in a parade, were dancing around me. Everything resembled a swirling motion. I yelled to myself, “Come on lets slow this all down!”
Next thing I knew, I was on the ground looking up. I observed the moon making much more intense sizzling sounds. Before me, there was a large cave with a glowing, pulsating light. There was a hum that was actually quite soothing. I was hesitant but as I drawn into it. My curiosity had taken over. Once inside, I noticed my physical appearance altering. As I glanced to my hands, I noticed my fingernails had grown long, as though a long time had passed.
I exited the cave. An oasis appeared directly before me, decorated with purple neon-bark trees and strange birds perched on mica stones. At the water’s edge, I bent over to look at my face in the water. To my amazement, a smiling woman’s face was looking back at me.
I stood up and became transfixed on a large golden plaque. Inscribed into it, “civilization transformed.” A myriad of voices penetrated the air from the other side of the oasis. Suddenly, I was encompassed by a sea of hands, caressing my entire body. There were hundreds of scantly clothed humanoids chanting, “Change … moon …change!” I looked into the sea of faces. They shifted into ghostly beings echoing, “More … sun … more”
An electro-magnetic sun soon permeated the center of my dreamscape. Immediately, I was transformed and back on the surface, where everything was green and growing. Smiling to the sky, I began to search for the alchemy of the newborn moon.
