Galileo and Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church has decided to embrace Galileo as a visionary for faith and science. If he was such a persona, why weren’t the Church’s enlightened leaders of Galileo’s day bright enough to see him as such?
The entire conversation is ridiculous. The Catholic Church demonized Galileo because his research stood in defiance of their doctrine. A doctrine that led to some of the worst atrocities in the history of humankind. No matter how much love the Catholic Church throws Galileo’s way, it will never overshadow its horrific and dark past.
