There is also a mystery about Mei Ling's past life. Enjoy a novel if you are a good reader in grade 4 and up that is about Canada geese, a famous man jack Miner and a new immigrant. The story will hold you as mei Ling seems to have a secret- not revealed till late in the book.
The book will also show how children go about doing a schoo project through reading and first hand experiences.
Jack Miner was born in Ohio and came to Canada at age 13. In 1904 he established the bird sanctuary which still welcomes geese and ducks each Spring and Fall. He was the first to band water fowl and track their routes.
The book has sketches and real photos in it.
