I am trying to balance life with the newly diagnosed syndrome of Fibromyalgia.
The most difficult parts of Fibromyalgia for me are that I don't get to spend as much time with my grown daughter as I would like because of being exhausted or sick. My immune system hit a wall this year and I was sick with varied respiratory issues and phantom fevers alternating or in conjunction with arthritis pain mainly in my lower back. This weakening of my immune system has caused me to miss time with family and friends especially the time I mentioned with my daughter and it has also caused me to lose a great deal of time at work. I have been the main care giver to my mother for about ten years. I've never slept well and being a caretaker has made me an even lighter sleeper. Care-taking and working full-time has taken its toll on me this year which is probably why the Fibromyalgia was finally diagnosed. I have had almost every symptom in the book over the past decade but not all at once. This past year they came to visit but never left.
This blog is a place for me to keep research and to note what helps me and what does not.
Most importantly this blog is a place that I hope others will contribute information on and experiences with Fibromyalgia.
Best Wishes, Karen
