Christmas Time Is Here!!!! (And So Are The Colds!!)

The holidays are here upon us once again ...
...And so are the sneezes, sniffles, wheezes, and coughs! *Achoo!*
Yep. You guessed it. NOT the flu (swine or otherwise; I bind that off me and my twin sister, in Jesus' Name!), but the common cold. Got a snootful; my poor snout is stuffed to the max! Feels worse than stuffed turkey! LOL
Other than my nose (plus coughing my brains out), I feel great! LOL
Didn't go Christmas shopping today, but I will, as soon as I get some more in the way of money. Karla did, because she had to get me some Kleenex (we were out); she has a bruised heel, from when someone ran into her with a shopping cart. She was not amused! (She didn't get much: four boxes of Kleenex, a book, to make me feel better, and some hand sanitizer, which was on sale). She said two guys got arrested right there in the middle of Wal*Mart: fighting over televisions. One guy already had two in his cart; the other guy was saying he didn't need three; why couldn't he just get one. That's when things got ugly, apparently; the two started duking it out. That's when the cops intervened; both were led out in handcuffs.
Karla didn't see the fight, but she heard about it, and saw the two clowns being led out by the cops. *tsk, tsk* Crazy!!
People acting like grinches: snatching everything in sight up, like they were a bunch of hungry sharks. She wanted to say some people don't even have Christmas, and here they are, acting totally stupid!! She's been bummed out ever since. Don't blame her. I would have too if I saw the crazyness!!
Why can't people get back to remembering the REAL Reason for the Season? Goodwill towards men, peace on Earth, the Birth of a Saviour?? Instead, it's all about buy, buy, buy!!
That's fine if you have the money to do so, but as you do, please remember those who won't have a Christmas: the poor, the elderly, the disabled, the Veterans (and NOT just the kids?? There are plenty of struggling adults out there who can use a helping hand!!!!)??
Karla and I are two of them.
We will be lucky IF we even HAVE a Christmas this year.
BAH the humbug on those greedy sharks who think of only themselves or making Christmas miserable for others! I don't need that in my life; Christmas is already stressful enough for us!!
*At least we have a lot of food! LOL*
