i wrote this for a grieving mom i found on a site. it really touched me..
"He gave to us, His Precious Son;
one of yours, was taken
Through each nightmare tears are spun;
stillborn grief; awakens.
I will not say that I could bear
the weight of all you have lost.
And the fragile heart, you choose to share,
cannot deny the cost.
Oh, little child, so bruised, so torn,
Your Father sees your fears.
As the diamond memories you adorn,
shine more than the tears.
So, please don't let the stormy skies,
paint your sunshine dark.
God forbids true love's disguise,
He has a mother's heart.
Though you would trade everything
to have him back again,
Death is not the final sting,
the grave, it cannot win .
My Father's Word is His Bond,
we live by His Grace.
It won't be long 'til you gaze upon,
the smile on Matthew's face.
Though your heart burns to touch him, most,
one day you'll understand,
the times you could not hold him close,
he was kept in the Best of Hands...
