KATT'S KOMMENTS
11/16/2009 1:03:01 PM
I've had my nose pressed against the keyboard for the past few months. Polishing the latest manuscript. Getting it ready to send off to the publisher. So needless to say, I haven't been doing much around the house. My sweet adorable husband has taken over the laundry, at least for the past month. This afternoon, I finally finished. Satisfied that I couldn't polish it any more I sent it off. Since my husband has been hungry for homemade apple pie, I bought a half bushel of baking apples the other day. Realizing it would take some time to bake a pie, I thought it would be quicker to make pudding. I wanted to surprise him, he was outside watering my flowers so I could finish my project today. I hurried to the kitchen, dug through the cupboards looking for chocolate pudding. Ripped open the box, dumped it into a saucepan, added the milk and stirred. After a minute or so, it didn't seem quite right. I couldn't understand why it looked the way it did. I lowered the heat and dug through the trash for the box. Did I add too much milk, not enough? Well, mystery solved----it's instant!
I yelled to my husband through the open kitchen window. "Just walk across the street (nursing home) and get me a room."
He laughed and turned, walking away. He had a bungee cord hanging from his collar. "Honey, what's on your collar?" He grabbed it and said, "I've been looking for that for ten minutes." "Go ahead and get two rooms!"
