Death be not Proud
5/17/2012 9:36:36 AM
To many people are taking their own lives because of depression. I'm bipolar, I know what I am talking about!

It seems like an epidemic of people are commiting suicide.  The latest being,
Mary Richardson Kennedy, age 52.  Sources said that she hung herself
in an old barn which was behind where she was residing.  She was separated the last two years from Robert Kennedy Jr.  She left behind four children.

In case you do not know what depression curtails:  Feelings of hopelessness, saddness, no interest in things that you love to do,
no interest in sex, sleeping more than usual, being alone rather than
being with friends.  Giving away your prized posessions.

Suicide should not be an option anymore, there are excellent antidepressants that take effect in 2-6 weeks.  When I say an option,
the person commiting suicide does so because they believe that is their
only way out.  I have toyed with the idea of suicide, (suicide idealation)
for I too have been that depressed.  15 to 20% of bipolar people have
commited suicide.  It is a scary ride to go into the depths of a very dark
well and the further down you decend you find that you can't climb out.

Please if you know someone who seems depressed, especially a loved one.
Help them to get help, anyway you can.  The signs of depression are easy
to detect...please don't let another person die in vain!
