Book signing at Hastings Book Store in McAllen, Texas

McAllen, Texas is a wonderful place for an author to peddle her book! The people from Hidalgo County are very receptive to literature and are very supportive of the arts. Bravo, Hidalgo County! Bravo, McAllen, Texas! Bravo, Hastings Book Store on 10th Street!
I love McAllen, Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Edinburg, Mission and all the other hamlets surrounding the McAllen metropolis! What a town and what wonderful people!
On another note, the H1N1 flu virus didn't dampen the book buyers at Hastings Book Store. The traffic was phenominal this past Saturday afternoon. The doors never stopped opening and closing! It really did my heart good to see so many people purchasing books for themselves or for their children. And I used to say that reading is a lost art! Well, I don't anymore!
