A loss of a Friend

As a hobby, I liked to write crime novels. But someone has taken away a friend of mine, and I don't think I can write again.
Yesterday, someone brutally murdered a close friend of mine and her sweet mother. I am angry and hurt. I feel like I let her down because I hadn't talked to her recently. Maybe I could have asked her if she was okay or found out if anything was bothering her. Maybe I could have been the friend she needed and told her to make sure she locked up and stayed safe, like she always told me to do. Tonight, see if your friends are safe. Its too late for mine.
To you, who stole these dear people from my life, I hope you never have peace. There was no reason to hurt these gentle souls. I hate you.
When I used to write crime fiction, I thought of it as entertainment. Not anymore. Real crime hurts.
Anyone reading this, please light a candle for Angelique and Vonda Goyena(or for other victims of violence)
I don't believe there is goodness left in this world. It left with my friends.
