Elizabeth Edwards Should Be Commended, Rather than Criticized 5/12/2009 9:40:45 AM By writing and speaking so candidly about her husband's affair, Elizabeth Edwards has performed a valuable service to betrayed women everywhere. Many find it objectionable that Elizabeth Edwards would reveal her innermost feelings about her husband’s infidelity and its effect on her. Others question her motives for doing so. Speaking from the standpoint of an infidelity expert who is frequently called on by the media to comment on high profile infidelity and other infidelity issues in the news, someone who has researched infidelity for the past 15 years – and a person who was once a victim of infidelity myself, I think it is commendable that Elizabeth Edwards would write and speak so candidly about the affair in her interviews with Oprah and with Matt Lauer. In doing so she has performed a valuable service for betrayed wives everywhere. Elizabeth Edwards has focused public attention on aspects of infidelity that usually go unnoticed or ignored. Much can be learned, even from the portions of Elizabeth Edwards’ book that were leaked to the public before the book went on sale. These things are addressed on my Infidelity News and Views blog at http://infidelitynewsandviews.blogspot.com A discussion of the reasons Elizabeth Edwards and other women stay with cheating men, is posted on my Infidelity Advice blog at http://infidelityadvice.blogspot.com/
