Except from Chapter 4
Jo had the country girl life – home, land and even the truck, but still her life was missing something – love. She had been married but there was never that true love. Love that you see in the movies. Love in her life was only a vision – a vision that would continue in her thoughts and one that she would keep focusing on every day. Jo would always hope it would someday come true and that she would feel it. Jo constantly admired her land and house, and the space in between. It was a wonderful gift that had been given to her. She longed to share it with someone. Yet, she looked outside at her land and again spawned the emptiness of her desire.
Excerpt from Chapter 3
Saturday morning also came quick and Heather’s husband had been long gone. The decorations were lovely and all around the house. He had put several different colored strands all along the front and the back and mixed them with regular gold colored lighting. Jo fell back to sleep after that, thinking about the night before, and the fun time that she had just listening to the band and looking at others as they were partying. She hadn’t drank much but she wasn’t used to staying out late and wondered whether she should do this again as the evening crept around again.
