This little piece is from "The Red Cross of Gold I:. the Knight of Death", the first book of the Assassin Chronicles. Sir Ramsay has gotten himself into a really bad situation. He has to get away from these crazy people.

"The poor boy was scared to death of you. He called you the Knight of Death. Chevalier du Morte. The Prince of the Grave. He said you would bring the flaming sword and cut off his head.”
