10 Steps to a Better You

There is always room for improving ourselves so that we continue to upgrade the services we provide to those around us.
Getting better at what we do is the desire and goal of each of us,and we work on this goal daily.
It is never good to 'sit on our laurels' because someone else is always ready to move up and fill our position if we are not growing as we should.
To keep the "edge" that is so much needed today, we must take consistent positive actions that keep us out front,and on the 'cutting edge.'
Here are ten (10) actions each of us can perform that will consistently help us to become better at the things we do and the services we provide for others.
1. Identify and follow your passion as often as opportunities allow.Your passion is that thing you enjoy doing and can do better than anyone else,and you'd still do it if there were no money or prestige involved.
Imagine the work or product you will create when you are doing what you love and do best?
2. Spend a few minutes daily expressing gratitude for the "good" in your life, the good people and the good things. Doing so will automatically attract more of the same to you.
3. Perform random acts of kindness for those you know and better still, for someone you don't know. This is an excellent way to stop focusing on your challenges for a moment.
4.Revisit a place that brought you immense joy or pleasure. Doing so will help you to keep the joy derived from the place more clearly in your mind,and when you need to do so, you can go back again and again,vicariously.
5. Use 'thank you', 'please', and 'I am sorry' when appropriate. These words will help to keep harmony and order in any environment.
6. Read inspirational articles and books on personal development and self-help daily.We don't grow when we fail to take advantage of the many aids we have available for our use.
7. Minimize or eliminate negative words from your vocabulary. Words such as can't, won't and never, for example, will hinder any efforts of personal development or self-growth.
8. Sincerely compliment someone who has performed his or her work excellently. Don't be surprised when you become "admired" by the person.
9. Move your body! I mean this literally. Exercise daily so that you become or remain healthy. Everything seems better when we are healthy and fit.
Take the stairs; park the car some distance from your destination. Do what ever you need to do to work your muscles.
10. Check the "person in the mirror" often to see if you like what he or she is saying to you. Remember to keep that person attractive and happy.
Becoming better is always an admirable goal, and it is an attainable one that makes it possible for each of us to constantly improve the best we give to ourselves and to those around us.
