Faith, belief and knowledge

I haven't written for a while, largely because of other more pressing matters.
But I've been continuing to think about this whole business of faith, belief, knowledge, etc. And one interesting thing occurred: an example of total belief, trivial enough in its way. My son had decided to go for an artistic project to Iqaluit on Baffin Island for a short time, and I thought why not go as well, purely out of interest? He was keen about my going too. But then there were all kinds of problems, with dates and getting flights (on points, since otherwise it's expensive)--it all looked impossible. And yet for all of this I knew with absolute certainty that it would work out, so I just didn't worry about it. A few days later it did indeed work out, although for different dates, and I managed to book the flights.
In general I've come to "know" (more than "having faith" or "believing") that things work out for the best if one just doesn't worry about them. Why, though, can I not have the same kind of "knowledge" about my main "desire": success for my writing?
