Well it has been a great week here at the ranch. Although it is hot weather, the animals are doing fine and staying either on the porch or in the shade of the barn during the day.

We have two new additions to the ranch, Chief and Chance.  A friend needed a place to take her horses this summer because she doesn't have any pasture.  Well of course we are always willing to help out those in need.  That's what this place is all about, just ask Mia.  Besides, the Lord has blessed us with lots of green grass here at Black Dog Ranch this spring so I don't think the other horses are going to mind.  They look at it this way; Hey, we are herd animals so why not have a herd??"

Speaking of Mia, you know dogs will be dogs sometimes, even famous authors like Mia and well she kind of got caught red-pawed this week stealing the bird seed out of the bird feeder.  She didn't get in trouble or anything, but we did have that talk about you have your food and the birds have their feed.  That went in one fuzzy ear and out the other.  I'm pretty sure it won't be the last talk about the bird feeder.....
