Holidays
12/30/2003 8:54:49 PM
Why?
It is said that the Yuletide/New year holidays are Joyful, Sometimes I wonder.

For me Nothing changes, I still spent my time in the Kitchen all day. Even did three loads of washing. As for the washing up, well enough said.

Today, One of my neighbours Died from cancer. She had come home to celebrate the New Year.

At this time of year i am missing my Grandchildren and my two married daughters. It's not that i can't see them, I just Cannot afford it. I have not seen them for nine years, ( one of my kids not for ten). They are not well off, so i cannot expect them to drive across the country to see me.

This is getting too depressing so i will wish the world a happy New Year and the Blessings of the Gods for 2004.

Another one has just passed away. The time is 2.30 am on the first of january.

Tonight My family and I had a backyard BBQ. I cooked Creole Chicken in the Kettle. The Wood smoke from the Gum and Wattle, gave it a rather unique taste, so unique I had to fight for the last piece.
I must admit that i consumed a quantity of Schnapps, which is unusual for me as i do not normaly drink very much. It did nothing for my feelings of depression, and it certainly did not make me forget anything.
Which makes me realise what a useless pastime drinking really is.

The street is unusualy quiet this year, only one police siren, and no drag racing. Used to think Drag Racing had something to do with the Gay Olympics.

It is with some trepidition that i will listen to the news in the morning.
Starting to hate the news reports, presenters never share any good news, only the bad stuff, yet like an addict i will turn on the radio in the morning, in the slim hope that for once, they will give me a good start to the day. Fat chance!!!
Dragged the Neighbours over with their kids for the BBq, They have no food and no money.
He works as a contract hanyman Landscaper for Realtors. Cleaning up the mess left by lousy tennants.
You would think He would get paid on time, but no, he has to wait another five days at least.

Think I'll go to bed.
