Salty and the Serpent
by Robert Saltzman

Salty and The Serpent is a gripping new crime thriller that will keep readers guessing until the very last page. Using a raw tone that explores society’s underbelly, this..

Today Aussie time
Today the temperature is still in the 30s, (90s to the rest of the world).

Yesterday I won a Valentine's Day poetry Competition. There was a small problem in that the judges could not make up their minds between two entries, until some one pointed out that both were from the same Author, me.

Valentines day has become like Christmas and Easter, the meaning is lost to the dollar.

Valentines day was once a day of secrecy. A day when one would send and recieve a token from an anonymous admirer.

Now they all expect Flowers, Jewellery and other dollar motivated gifts, not from that "Secret" admirer but from partners and known lovers.

No Present? Then you can sleep on the couch.

Funny how all the advertising is aimed at the male, insinuating that HE has an obligation to buy Valentines day gifts for HER, not the other way round.

The way I figure it is that if one has to wait a year, to tell another, one loves and cares for them, then one is with the wrong partner.

Maybe Romantic Poetry should start with the lines:-

You have three credit cards

A million in the bank

A share portfolio that works hard

I love the way that you buy Mink.

I think I've found the perfect man

Who will keep me in such a way.

Who'll buy me anything he can

Until he's broke on our Divorce Day.

Now That's being Cynical. Or is it?
