The Aruba Fiasco

Can we stop being ugly Americans?
I don't know a thing agout the laws of Aruba.
In the United States there are procedures that must be strictly observed to convict a criminal. I'm sure that anyone who tries to interrogate suspects in a crime before the police can execute a warrant or gather incriminating evidence to justify an arrest would be severely criticized for obstructing justice. (Ever hear about "Miranda"?)
The arrogance of some Americans who may have interrupted the normal legal processes in Aruba as incividuals or "members of the press" may have completely undermined the ability of the Aruban authourities to convict whoever may be guilty of commiting any crime there!
Since when does the American press, FBI, or anyone else have the right to intrude into the internal affairs of Aruba or any other foreign country?
Oh, well -- so what else is new?
