The force of the smile...
I have been noticing something that I have been told umpteen times over the years, but must now be taking on new depth of meaning. It is the force, the intensity and strength of the content of one's message if continually put forth with a smile. It is a way of thinking outward, of serving, and not considering one's own personal state.

Consider the days that a person simply does not 'feel like smiling'. That's easy to imagine. We all have days like that. It's easy to fall into the 'feeling' state, and live for one's self as opposed to thinking outward to serving others.

To the contrary, a smile, whatever one's feelings at the moment, is a mark of service. It can be a mark of dedication. It is certainly a signal of discipline for the one bearing the smile who may or may not 'feel like' smiling.

The days that I have practiced this ritual, smiling when I did not want to, I actually noticed that my entire countenance and character was lifted. Do it, and the rest will follow......
Seems good to me.
