The Building of the USA
12/11/2003 3:50:01 PM

"By the time we leave for work...Americans have depended upon the many inventions from the minds of Black (entrepreneurs)." ~ quoted from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

****************************************

ALL AMERICANS SHOULD STUDY THESE TOPICS.... and visit the TRUE HISTORY MUSEUM....

http://mypages.blackvoices.com/museum

 ENTREPRENEURS CAN AND HAVE  CHANGED THE COURSE OF HISTORY:

Since ancient civilizations in Africa --and up until modern times,  Black people (aka: Negroes,  African-Americans, Nubians, etc.) have contributed to the development of civilization via the creation and invention of millions of products,  machines, and gadgets that have made life a lot easier.

This is one of the major reasons that Black people (and others) must learn to be entrepreneurs--- in order to improve their situations in life.

The following is a list of some of those inventions and contributions:

Carter Woodson (author of several books and founder of Black History Month)

* LEE BARRAGE....................  the typewriter

* W. A. LOVE.....................  the printing press

* ALICE PARKER................ the heating furnace

* ALEXANDER MILLS.............. the elevator

* GARRET A. MORGAN................ the traffic signal

* JOHN BURR............................ the lawn mower

* RICHARD SPIKES.......................automatic gear shift

AND THERE ARE MANY, MANY MORE OF THESE FANTASTIC INVENTIONS AND CREATIONS.

Dr.  Carter Woodson began the celebration of "Negro History Week" in 1925 for the purpose of honoring and acknowledging the true builders of the U.S.A.
