A Newness in Thee"

"Spring is right around the corner and so it is that I find myself searching for a newness in Thee"
My thoughts turn ever upward unto You, Oh Lord. In the newness of everything that surrounds my life I search Thee out. Direct my ways, and make my path straight. I thank You for Your presence in my life. I thank You for Your comfort and the peace that You give.
It has been over a year now Lord, and there has been a stillness in my writing. Yet now I feel a newness in Thee. Through this last year, I have grown to love you even more. A year of caring for my dear mother, and then letting go. I know that in death, there is life. It is upon my faith in Thee that I find comfort.
I thank you for the time we had together. A time to prepare and then giving her back to You. Oh how precious is the name, Mother.
Mother, rest in peace and may God shine upon you. In memory of my mother, Margaret.
